1. Information We Process
When you upload a resume or paste job descriptions, CareerLense parses the plain text to detect standard career sections, extract skills, and calculate analytical quality scores. We do not use your resume to train public AI foundation models.
2. How Anonymous Sessions Work
By default, CareerLense operates via client cookies and temporary server sessions. You are identified as an anonymous guest. No email address or credit card is required to access any core feature.
3. Optional Accounts
If you explicitly choose to click "Save My Resume" and register an optional user account, your resume and analysis history will be saved to your personal database record so you can access it across browser restarts.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
You can purge your temporary upload and session cache at any time using the "Delete Resume" or "Clear Session" buttons located in the user menu and the footer. Once cleared, the files are deleted immediately from local disk.
5. Security Practices
We enforce filename sanitization, file-extension whitelisting, upload file-size limits (10MB default), CSRF protection, and path traversal defenses across all backend endpoints.
